We accept reservations via Open Table – feel free to book a table here! We also accept walk ins at all times during our opening hours. We do our best to accept large parties, but parties of more than eight guests may be challenging to seat together. In addition, all parties of 20 or more must be booked as a private event – feel free to fill out our private event booking form here!
We are able to accept a small number of reservations for parties of 19 or more. Please inquire at this link!
We’re located at 901 W Kinzie Street in Chicago’s West Loop neighborhood. We always recommend responsible ways to get to and from our brewery – including ride shares, designating a driver, or taking public transit. Chicago’s “L” train has close stops on both the Blue Line (Grand and Milwaukee) and Green Line (Morgan and Lake).
Unfortunately, we do not have a dedicated parking lot, but street parking is available in the area.
Our taproom and restaurant open at 11am Monday – Friday, closing each night at 11pm (midnight on Friday). Our weekend service includes a brunch menu from 9am until 2pm, followed by our usual lunch/dinner menu, closing at midnight on Saturday and 11pm on Sunday.
The Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago is family-friendly, welcoming guests of all ages. Only those guests with valid, government-issued IDs will be able to purchase and consume alcohol, and all guests under the legal drinking age must be accompanied by someone over the age of 21.
Currently, we do not accept digital IDs. Only physical, valid, government-issued IDs are valid for the purchase and consumption of alcoholic beverages.
We are a 100% cashless facility, but accept all major forms of electronic payment, including credit cards and Apple Pay.
We do! Feel free to pick one up (along with a bunch of other sweet Guinness and OGB swag) from our retail store, open every day. You can also purchase digital gift cards via this link. As a reminder, gift cards are redeemable across our entire brewery, including our retail shop, bakery, tap room, and restaurant!
Yes, dogs are welcome on our patio during the warmer months. While they can't join you inside the taproom, your friendly pup(s) is more than welcome to hang out with you outside when the patio is open.
Experiences & Events
The easiest way to stay in the (West) loop is to follow us on Instagram and/or Facebook – links to each can be found at the top of this page. We’d also invite you to join our newsletter mailing list, which can be found at the bottom of our home page.
Of course! We’d love to host you. Please submit the form at this link and someone from our event planning team will be in touch as soon as possible!
While our building makes tours a bit difficult, we do plan to offer a few different immersive experiences throughout the year. Check out our brewery calendar for a list of upcoming events and bookable experiences.
Food & Beers
A common misconception! In reality, Guinness is a brewery – not just a single beer. While the OGB Chicago carries and serves a few of our beers that come from St. James’s Gate Brewery in Dublin, our job is to create new and exciting recipes to pour alongside classics like Guinness Draught Stout, Guinness Extra Stout and Foreign Extra Stout. Guinness is a global brewery – currently brewed in around 50 countries around the world. We’re excited to add our chapter!
During the operating hours of our taproom and restaurant, our taproom team is always ready to guide you through both our tap list and food menus. Ordering is done through your server or bartender! Our menus on this website and our social media channels are as up to date as we can make them, but we often have last minute changes that might mean an item or two aren’t available - apologies in advance!
You can expect to see Dublin-brewed classics like Guinness Draught Stout, Guinness Extra Stout, and Foreign Extra Stout, alongside new and creative recipes from our brewers Nate and Rachael. Our Chicago-born beers include a range of styles from across the spectrum of the beer world – crisp lagers, tropical IPAs, classic European styles, fruit and cocktail inspired beers, and everything in between.
We have a robust list of other offerings including beer cocktails, ciders, non-alc cocktails, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Simply put – anything and everything. While we will certainly feature taproom favorites like burgers and shareables, we’re also excited to showcase the global footprint of Guinness and the uniqueness of Chicago’s 77 neighborhoods. That means cuisine from every corner of the globe, but always using the freshest proteins and produce available, often locally sourced. Our brewery is a brewery for everyone, and that includes our menu – vegetarian and vegan options will always be available.
Unfortunately, we do not permit any outside food or beverages, with exceptions made for baby formula and other similar items.
Here’s a list of the items we’ll need you to leave at home or in your vehicle:
- Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives.
- Drinking containers that contain liquid – feel free to bring your empty water bottles to fill on site!
- Chains, locks, laser pointers, or other items that present a risk of harm to person or property.
- Outside furniture, such as folding or beach chairs.
- Any other item not listed which is perceived to be a threat to the safety and welfare of Guinness Open Gate Brewery guests and staff.
